Our GOAL

Shifting Focus to Helping Those with Limited Mobility Stay in Their Homes.

Our Mission

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, those living in continuing care centers have endured increased physical and mental hardships related to the isolating restrictions. Aging in place refers to a person’s ability to continue living independently at home and in their community by providing necessary supports and services. These include modifications to one’s home to improve mobility and accessibility. Age In Place Canada is a new division of MoJo Design Inc., focusing on keeping seniors and those with limited mobility living comfortably and safely in their homes.

Our History

Age in Place Canada works with its network of trusted fabricators, contractors, and social support workers to help make modifying one’s home for accessibility a reality. Typical renovations include: walk-in showers, installing grab bars, widening hallways, and installing ramps for wheelchair access. Working alongside occupational therapists, this design firm has created comfortable and functional homes for clients all over Alberta. Cofounder Johanne Lewis explains, “We understand that the costs of renovating a home can be a major hindrance for those living on a fixed budget. We want to work with them and help them apply for financial support”. As their network grows, Age in Place Canada hopes to help all Canadians with limited mobility live more independently and enjoyably in their home.
